Thank God climate change wasn't in full swing the past weekend. Summer is my thing. We had good times in the long winding roads and some singing with the kids. I yearned to back float and reflect on the good things that came my way. Ah yes, God looks down on me while i backfloat and marvel at that great big blue sky. Just hoping no one makes a big splash around.
So here are pieces of Summer.

lowly bright bougainvilleas add a spring feel |
Of course, i love flowers. This one is bunched up near the place we stayed.
|
a view of the sea above a cliff |
The view was grand and windy and standing above it makes you feel like you own the place. A one day haciendera on a lovely day. Hot wind and the summer breeze brushing up against your sunday florals. Thank God for these.

Nilagang okra, camote tops and inihaw na talong |
Of course with bagoong and that inihaw na liempo on steaming rice. Just perfect. Summer outing is not without inihaw stuff. And the sight of hungry dieters on the loose in wet clothes. haha.
|
Red watermelon |
With the juiciest watermelons for dessert. But the sweetest for me are the yellow watermelons.
|
sea shells sold on a banca |
|
pointed sea shells |
And of course, the aftermath of a nice summer beach day--- an open mouth of happiness. How can you go wrong with that?
Looking forward to another weekend getaway. This time with no pressure. hehe
