What made you happy?

May nakita akong semi-obligatory thang sa facebook. Pipiccuhran mo yung mga bagay or moments na napasaya sa 'yo for the day. A small happiness project. Nice no? Gusto ko gawin 'to pero alam kong hindi ko siya ma-I-dodocument ng maayos kahit na may blog ako. For one, mas may kailangan akong unahin. Hahaha. At baka gawin ko na namang excuse ito.

But of course may mga bagay na nagpasaya sa 'kin. Gaya kahapon. Napa-luwas ako sa Alabang para kitain ang friends at ang mom ng friend namin sa States. More than the meeting that made me happy since we don't get together that much, I absolutely felt good since I wore my year old boots. Boots as in bota and worn over my floral dress which is so me.

Ganyan ang peg...very hipster lang. But it was comfortable and I don't want to think. Big deal no? Kasi siguro I don't usually wear boots here in Manila, lakas kasi mang-asar ng mga taong nasa paligid ko pag naka-porma ka. di naman masama. ewan ko ba. I guess, I don't want to call attention to myself most of the time or I don't want to be conscious about it maybe? Boot wearing here is bordering on the fasyon side but sometimes I do like to look put together na hindi. Alam mo yun? Yung nag-effort ka para hindi ka magmukhang nag-effort. But it really happens na hindi ako nag-eeffort lalo na pag manic labada days. Mababaw na kaligayahan ba ang makapag-boots? True but heck I felt so me with the ubiquitous palda in tow. And at my age, hindi na 'ko hipster age obviously, but I am happy that I still have this nerve to pull that through.

Apart from that, I am happy when I do things or create stuff. Some weeks back, I came upon this desert recipe involving oatmeal and yogurt. At ginawa ko siya. Masarap at may kasamang relatively unknown power food like chia seeds (chia seeds? da hell?) na rich daw sa omega 3 and of course, fruit.

 

Combine rolled oats, chia seeds, milk and greek yogurt plus fruit inside a jar or some plastic container. Put it in the ref overnight and lasapin in the morning.  It has to be Greek yogurt para mas makapal at rolled oats para mas maabsorb ang milk at yogurt. Pampa-gourmet ang chia seeds na mabibili sa S&R or sa Healthy Options. naks!

In fairness, masarap talaga siya and I really feel na packed siya with nutrients (kung paano ko nasabi yun, ay ewan ko!). Obvious bang nagpapaka-healthy na 'ko ulit. Awa naman ng Diyos, never pa 'ko nagkasakit ng malala or even lagnat the past 10 years ata? Kaya gusto ko pa pa siyang I-fortify.  And for today, I made a new batch. This time I used strawberries and dried blueberries for more power. Oh yeah!




This I guess is the highlight of my day. Hooray for homemade!

Today is a lazy Monday actually. I'm still waiting for a go signal sa labada. I'm just happy na nagbalik na ang Walking Dead Season 4. I'm beginning to read a book again, Fault in Our Stars, kaso napapangiwe ako paminsan pero pwede na rin. Siguro hindi ko talaga trip ang mga young adult type.
